About Elmwood:

Elmwood is an impactful non-profit organization dedicated to providing individualized care and support that nurtures growth, well-being and belonging for people living with intellectual disabilities. Our team of over 230 disability support professionals provide a broad range of services including Community Homes, Supported Independent Living Program, Community Inclusion Program, and Trust Services.

Elmwood is embracing a bright future with significant expansions of Community Homes and the Community Inclusion Program and is actively developing a plan for a Disability Service Sector Community Hub – an intentional and inclusive collaborative community of services.

With this planned growth comes the need for a Human Resources Manager to ensure we have the people, systems, and processes to make this plan a reality.

About the Human Resources Manager:

As the Human Resources Manager, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a supportive and empowering work environment where our team can thrive and achieve our goals. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management and leading a team to ensure we provide an excellent employee experience.

You will have the opportunity to implement innovative human resource strategies that align with our Vision, Mission and Guiding Principles. This is not your typical human resources role. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and drive positive change. You will have the autonomy to develop and implement policies and procedures that foster a culture of inclusivity, collaboration, and excellence.

Your key focus areas will be on:

  • Workforce Planning
  • Organizational Design
  • Talent and Succession Management
  • Culture and Engagement
  • Performance Management
  • Labour Relations

We are seeking a dynamic individual with a strong human resource background. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization. You will have post-secondary education in human resources or a related field, five years of experience in human resources, and an interest in the non-profit and human service sectors.

If you are passionate about human resources, thrive in a collaborative and inclusive environment, and are eager to roll up your sleeves and make a difference, we invite you apply. If you have any questions about the role, please contact Sherry at 306-380-0189.
