Summer employment at Elmwood can teach you the basics of working at a growing non-profit in the human services field in the Saskatoon community. As is typical with many non-profits, our IT infrastructure and strategy needs a boost and we need your support! This important position will assist Elmwood in the implementation of a digitization strategy focused on the following areas:

Paperless Strategy & Implementation

  • Assist in developing a digitization strategy to move the Organization paperless on a go forward basis. This includes standard file naming conventions, record retention guidelines, and file storage organization.
  • Coordination between various departments and locations throughout Saskatoon
  • Rolling out of strategy to Organization as a whole, monitor progress, support when necessary

Digitization of Current Paper Records

  • Responsible for scanning, tracking, naming and storing all current paper records
  • Manage approvals of paper record destruction
  • Carry out quality control of digital records

General Tech Strategy & Growth

  • Identify and present creative, resourceful and strategic ideas and ways to contribute to our workforce
  • Suggest innovative ways to improve operations at the Organization
  • General IT Support
  • Potential for delivery of staff webinars in Tech best practices and/or around projects noted above

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Completed some post-secondary education in business administration, information technology, computer science or a similar field
  • Experience with IT Project Management is considered a strong asset
  • Strong knowledge of technology in relation to office efficiency and capabilities
  • You are a self-driven strategist with a sharp eye for details, strong ability to manage multiple projects at once and committed to process excellence
  • Flexibility in work schedules available
  • As required by the Canada Summer Jobs Grant: successful applicant must be between the ages of 15 and 30
  • Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search

 

This position is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Grant and will commence from June 2023 until end of August 2023 and works 37.5hrs per week. The salary for this role is $18.00 per hour.
