Position: Manager of Supportive Independent Living – Full-Time, Permanent, OOS

What You’ll Do:
As the Manager of SILP, you’ll be the guiding force behind our dynamic Supportive Independent Living Program. Your mission? To ensure that our participants are not just supported but empowered to live their best lives! You’ll lead a team of Community Mentors, recruit and onboard new members, and collaborate with families, social workers, and community agencies to create a strong support network.
From developing life skills programs to innovating new ways to help our participants thrive, your role is all about creativity, connection, and compassion. Plus, you’ll get to oversee budgets, fundraising efforts, and ensure that our participants have access to all the resources they need.
What We’re Looking For:
- Educational Background: A degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field is highly valued.
- Experience: Proven experience working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities. Experience with mental health challenges, addictions, and/or behavioral issues is essential.
- Leadership Skills: Demonstrated supervisory experience managing a larger team. Ability to build rapport and maintain positive working relationships with both clients and staff.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
- Problem-Solving: Strong crisis management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and make informed decisions.
