Job Overview

Reporting to the Manager of Resident Support, you lead teams of Support Workers who provide a high level of service to residents in our Community Homes. You ensure effective delivery of services that provide support to both our residents and the Team Members that support them. You focus your time in three main areas: Resident Support, Home Administration and Team Leadership. This is accomplished while ensuring a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for our residents and maintaining our Resident First Approach to ensure our residents live fulfilled lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team to provide excellent resident support and care.
  • Develop and maintain Resident Support Plans.
  • Provide ongoing communication to residents’ families.
  • Ensure the home is maintained and has the required groceries and other household supplies.
  • Provide on-going skills training and development to Team Members.
  • Provide regular coaching and feedback to Team Members.
  • Provide support, development and facilitation of Person Centered Planning Meetings

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12; related post-secondary in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, CAA) considered an asset
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable with personal care and end of life care
  • Experience working with individuals living with intellectual disabilities
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience
  • CPIC with vulnerable sector clearance
  • Class 5 Drivers License
  • TLR and PART certifications considered an asset
